Housing Related Support HTML5 Icon

Our aim is to provide housing related advice and support to Haringey Council residents under Homes for Haringey.

Women who have signed up to receive support and advice provisions have the choice of seeing two dedicated workers, working under the supervision of the Advice Team Manager/ Co-ordinator. Services include housing advice, life skills, employment, training and education, support networks and physical health.

All our advisers will offer a comprehensive support service to our clients ensuring that the most appropriate agency is involved according to the level of support ascertained through initial meetings.

All clients will, in partnership with their Key Worker, meet to discuss their initial concerns and draw up a plan. This plan will normally be reviewed after three months. But clients have the right to request an earlier review at any time.

Assistance is available as listed below:

Empowering Women Project HTML5 Icon

Our aim is to provide advocacy and advice services covering social welfare law such as housing and homelessness, welfare benefits and debt management for Turkish speaking women living in Haringey, Enfield and Waltham Forest.

We also provide group legal awareness sessions and facilitate opportunities for women from Turkish speaking communities to engage and learn skills so they become more confident and self-reliant in dealing with these kind of issues themselves.

This project funded by The Big Lottery Fund.

Debt Advice Project HTML5 Icon

The aim of this project is to provide individual debt advice and money management training to low income Turkish speaking women in North London; Haringey, Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Hackney and Islington.

This project funded by The City Bridge Trust.

Luncheon Club HTML5 Icon

We provide a weekly Luncheon Club for Turkish speaking elderly where they come to socialise and interact with each other.

Fridays: 10.30am - 1.30pm

Volunteers HTML5 Icon

We believe that women are inspirational role models, but as a result of some form of oppression they have faced in their lives, they tend to undermine their own skills and experiences. Therefore our organisation has worked hard to encourage women to actively participate in volunteering. This helps women to develop and extend their knowledge and inevitably build confidence to proceed with other life goals.
